The article discusses the principles of increasing the density of residential buildings by including various types of residential buildings with high floors (16-18 floors) while ensuring a standardized duration of insolation of apartments. The necessary distances between the facades of the houses to ensure sanitary standards in the apartments and the functional requirements for the organization of courtyard spaces are determined.
