Background: To compare the short term outcomes and recurrence rate for one year between Lichtenstein‘s and Desarda technique. Materials and Methods: This was an observational study. 30 patients operated from September 2018 to August 2020 that have undergone Desarda repair and 30 patients have undergone Lichtenstein mesh hernioplasty for inguinal hernia were included in study making total 60 hernial sites repaired. Postoperatively patients were observed for any complications and were followed up in OPD after discharge. Thorough examination was done on follow-up to detect any complications.
