Abstract:The article analyzes the state of water use in agriculture in Uzbekistan and examines the reasons for their waste. It analyzes the current state of water use on irrigated agricultural lands in the world and in the country, as well as programs of measures to address issues and problems of efficient use, and makes relevant proposals for their more efficient use. It also analyzes the views of experts on the recognition of water efficiency indicators in relation to key indicators, based on the fact that the same indicators cannot be applied uniformly as a result of global climate change, given the characteristics of specific and relative indicators of water use efficiency. In Namangan region, econometric models of changes in the volume of production depending on the conditions of water use in arable lands were developed and analyzed. As an indicator of water efficiency, crop yields were studied and suggestions and recommendations for water efficiency were presented.
