Background- Hearing loss and ear diseases can present at birth or acquired as a result of illness, middle-ear disease, injury, age, ototoxic medications, and/or induced by exposure to loud sound. People living with hearing impairment face problems in language acquisition, education, employment and overall wellbeing. Objectives - This study aimed to assess the prevalence and profile of middle ear diseases in patients coming to tertiary care centre and teaching hospital in Varanasi district of Uttar Pradesh.
