Abstract: The experience of treatment of 94 patients with fractures of the calcaneus is presented. The method of treatment is based on the study of modern classifications, treatment methods, taking into account the historical experience of conservative treatment of patients (including skeletal traction), includes the use of skeletal traction for 4-5 days, reposition under epidural anesthesia on an orthopedic table and the imposition of the Ilizarov apparatus with distraction for a proximal fragment of the calcaneus. The anatomical aspects of the structure of the foot are described in terms of the application of the proposed method of treatment. Long-term results were studied in 68 patients, which is 72.3% of the total number of treated patients, in terms of 6 months to 1.5 years. Good results were obtained in 49 (72.06%) patients, satisfactory in 19 (27.94%) patients. There were no unsatisfactory results.
