Abstract

Background- Chronic liver disease (CLD) causes pathological alterations in the myocardium in addition to the typical hemodynamic abnormalities. Since the reduced systemic vascular resistance usually compensates for overt heart failure, cardiac pathology is frequently disregarded. Methods- The current investigation was carried out at the Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital, Darbhanga as an observational study. A total of 75 patients with chronic liver disease were included in the study. After being interviewed, their demographic data, symptoms, and presentation were collected. Then, all of the patients underwent thorough physical examinations, 2D ECHO and ECG cardiological assessments, and blood investigations.
