Preliminary phytochemical screening of Stachytarpheta mutabilis with methanol revealed the presence of various phytocomponents such as phenols, flavonoids, steroids, saponins, alkaloids, tannins, terpenoids, etc. In vitro anti-inflammatory activity was assessed using a nitric oxide scavenging test at various concentrations. Indomethacin was used as the standard drug. The results showed that Stachytarphea mutabilis Methanol Extract (SMME) exhibited significant antiinflammatory activity in vitro over a concentration range of 100-500 g/mL. The study aimed to evaluate anti-inflammatory activity in vivo in rats.
