Many studies regarding carcinomas, including breast carcinoma, have suggested elevated levels of procoagulant factors and fibrinogen and fibrin degradation factors and associated fall in coagulation system inactivators. In the current study we try and correlate the coagulation markers D-dimer, Factor VIII, PT & INR in carcinoma breast patients, with advancing stages of the disease and lymph node metastasis and to look for the relation of these coagulation markers with know prognostic factors in carcinoma breast.
