Abstract A healthy society is being formed by the equal efforts of men and women. Contributions of both are important to create a real society. In country like India, women in parallel with man faced difficulties in the old days. But now it is seen to be the opposite. Now a days both men and women are bringing pride to the country by achieving a high level of success. In this way in the context of the North-East India, women’s of Assam have significant contributions to Assamese literature along with the various aspects of knowledge, Cultures, Science etc. This study attempts to discuss contributions of women’s to the Assamese Novel of the 20th century.
