Abstract

Tibial plateau fractures are extremely common and, in many cases, permanent. Aim is to compare the difference in treatment outcomes of a tibial condylar fracture treated by conventional non-locking dynamic compression plates and locking compression plates by range of motion and restoration of normal function and anatomy.A total no. of 40 patients were randomly divided into two groups for this study. An unpaired t test was employed as the statistical significance test for the study's continuous data. This difference was determined to be significant with a p value of 0.05 (or 0.04 in the current study). Due to the small size of the sample, more longitudinal and cross-sectional studies are needed to find the best way to treat tibial fractures.
