Abstract

Objectives: At present, serum amylase and lipase are the most widely used laboratory markers for early diagnosis of acute pancreatitis with reasonable sensitivity and specificity. Recently the significance of urinary trypsinogen-2 in the diagnosis of the acute pancreatitis has identified and its usage was increased but its sensitivity and specificity of the test for the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis has not yet been sys assessed.
