A STUDY ON COMPARATIVE EFFICIENCY OF INDIAN AND HDFC BANKS BY USING FINANCIAL AND NON FINANCIAL INDICATORS

Abstract

ABSTRACT Nowadays, as the banking sector has high competition due to the globalization, the banking sector occupies an important place in Indian Financial System. The present study aims at examining the opinions of bank employees regarding the awareness level of various financial and non-financial performance indicators used by the banks to evaluate their overall performance. It is purely based on the primary data collected few banks. The objective of the study is to compare the efficiency of selected banks i.e. Indian Bank and HDFC Bank with the help of opinions of bank employees regarding the awareness level of Financial and Non – Financial priorities Statistical Tools such as Mean, Standard Deviation, Coefficient of Variation and ANOVA were used for the analysis. The results revealed that the bank employees from Indian Bank has stable and there is more consistency of overall financial and non – financial performance perspectives. Hence both the Bank employees were more aware with the respect to all the listed financial and non-financial performance perspectives. But statistically no significant between Indian and HDFC Bank employees.
