Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether immediate, intermediate, or delayed removal of an indwelling urinary catheter after an uncomplicated abdominal hysterectomy has an effect on the rate of recatheterization due to urinary retention, the rate of urinary tract infection, the amount of time patients spend walking around in the hospital, and the total length of their hospital stay.
