Abstract
With the advent of linear accelerator the radiation delivery techniques has shifted drastically from conventional to conformal & intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT). Recently, the next generation of IMRT techniques, namely volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) has become widely available. VMAT is an arc treatment that creates highly conformal dose distribution with avoidance of critical structures along with faster delivery time and lowers MU's when compared to IMRT.
