Abstract

New trends in the dental industry pop up every year and 2020 is no different. Artificial intelligence (AI) in dentistry will transform the way dentists work and patients receive treatment, especially in the introduction of robot-dentists. Robots are now able to perform minimally invasive dental work like filling cavities, teeth cleaning, cap applications and tooth extractions. The tremendous amount of patient data requires intelligent software for computation. In dentistry, artificial intelligence holds lot of importance including patient diagnosis, storage of patient data, and assessment of genetic information. The robotic surgery techniques have made a big impact in surgery. The recent success in china has proved that the AI dentistry has become mainstream in the dental space by the end of 2019
