EFFECTIVENESS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF JOB ENLARGEMENT AND JOB ENRICHMENT METHODS TO OVERCOME LIMITED NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES

Background:Professional governance is currently the biggest demand of the community. However, this is problematic because people still have to deal with limited numbers and unequal distribution of employees in one particular work unit. This is not to mention the designation of employees who are not compatible with the needs of each government organization. Workload analysis can be used to find out what positions employee shortages or employee overload have. Recruitment can be arranged to resolve the problem of employee shortages. However, if an organization has not been able to increase the number of its employees shortly, then a possible alternative is to rearrange job designation by implementing job enlargement and job enrichment. Purpose:This study aims to find out the effectiveness of policies in overcoming the limited number of employees. Methods:This was a descriptive study that aimed to see the effectiveness of the variables studied using descriptive analysis of the results of employee performance appraisal before and after job enlargement and job enrichment implemented. Results:Job enlargement and job enrichment are fairly effective to carry out as an alternative in overcoming the limited number of employees. Conclusion:This is concluded from the absence of a decrease in the results of employee performance appraisal. Some of them even increased despite the addition of responsibilities.

Analysis of Health Administrator Needs of Planning Subdivision in Tulungagung District Health Office

Human resources are one of the most important aspects of an organization, including the existing health services at the Health Office. Therefore, planning for human resource needs is necessary to achieve organizational goals. This research was conducted at the Tulungagung District Health Office. This study aimed to determine the workload of human resources in the planning subdivision.This was descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used were interviews with informants, documentation study, and observation. The population in this study was the Tulungagung District Health Office. The sample in this study were health administrators in the planning subdivision. The analysis was conducted based on workload. The workload is important in calculating employee formation and can be used to calculate the number of employees efficiently. The results showed that based on the number of ratios, a percentage of 2.908 was obtained, which means that the required number of employees should be 3 people. This indicated that the current workforce was less than the actual need because the workload was too large so it was advisable to undertake enrichment, enlargement, or recruitment in the planning subdivision of the District Health Office. This research concludes that there is an influence of workload with individual pressure and additional working hours, considering that the current state of human resources administrators is still lacking, known from the results of workload analysis calculations.

Design And Workload Analysis Bicycle-Powered Mobile Sprayer

The sprayer is a system capable of turning liquid into mist or solution. Based on spraying efficiency and spray field efficiency, sprayer performance can be evaluated. Parameters of spraying efficacy are in the form of droplet diameter and percentage of dead weeds, whereas efficiency of spraying field parameters are in the form of effective field capacity and theoretical field capacity. This research seeks to develop a bicycle-powered sprayer and, when used by farmers, to measure quantitative workload and qualitative workload. Workload analysis has been carried out with the heart rate parameter on the use of the knapsack sprayer, and both qualitative and quantitative workload will be considered. As observed participants, four males and four females were questioned. The Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) was used to record the heart rate during the operations. Previously, step test calibration was carried out for each subject in order to obtain individual HR-Workload correlations. The result shows that women have a higher qualitative workload than men, although there is no real difference in the quantitative workload for women and men. Subjects' work performance was also determined based on field capability and consumption of srayer fluid. The result showed that the energy consumption rate of women per hectare of work and per tank (20 liters) of spraying is much higher than that of men. Spraying activity using a knapsack sprayer is more appropriate for men (as a male job) compared to that for women, based on the results of the study.
