Investigations on Design of Improved Multi Layer Anti Reflecting Coating for Efficiency Enhancement of Solar Cell

Ashish Raj, Manoj Gupta

European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine, 2022, Volume 9, Issue 6, Pages 2555-2567

To improve the efficiency of solar cells, an anti-reflective coating was designed and simulated. When incorporated into arrays of devices, anti-reflection coating aids in the development of novel geometrical forms for defining various techniques of light trapping in all directions and enables optimal use of available space. The use of TCAD software for effective module selection and surface texture was suggested as possible enhancement methods. Significant yield gains and loss reductions were made utilizing the system simulation and process simulation platform powered by Silvaco software. To assess the effectiveness of the gadget, a multi-layer anti-reflective coating was created. In simulations using a comparable laser beam, it has been found that the multi-layer coating helps to boost the current that is accessible

In this work, a new expression in simple form for the useful shi coefficient
of solar elements has been introduced. It has been shown that the computational results
obtained from this expression can explain the results obtained from the experiment. From
this formula it is shown that when the efficiency of solar cells is related to the non-ideal
coefficient of VAX, the correlation of this parameter to the non-ideal coefficient at the
point where the short-circuit current density is determined is linear

European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine, 2020, Volume 7, Issue 5, Pages 244-261

The need for electrical energy is increasing day by day and the required surplus electrical energy is supplied by renewable energy sources (RES). The usage of RES is a solution to save the fossil fuel reserves for the future generations to come and it also protects the environment. Solar energy as RES has number of advantages like freely available, pollution free, etc., Solar energy is converted to electrical energy using solar photovoltaic (PV) system, it has number of advantages and few challenges too. The generated voltage depends upon solar irradiation and operating temperature. Number of PV systems connected to the grid is ever increasing and this is leading to number of challenges like voltage quality, power quality, islanding etc., and these have to be increased. Solar PV system is used as distributed generator (DG). These DG’s help in supplying the additional electric power demand, improve the power quality, reduce the distribution losses, etc., This paper presents mathematical modeling of PV cell, DC/DC converter, inverter and maximum power point (MPP) controller. The discussed model is designed with Simulink block libraries and done in Matlab/Simulink software. Simulations are done and the results are deliberated and discussed.

European Journal of Molecular & Clinical Medicine, 2020, Volume 7, Issue 7, Pages 3868-3872

Sb2S3 is emerged as potential candidate for the contemporary thin film solar cells. The optical properties such as band gap of 1.65 eV approximately, high absorption coefficient > 104 cm-1 etc. satisfy the quality an ideal absorber layer. In the current article, physical properties of Sb2S3 have been reviewed. To understand the architecture of Sb2S3 thin film solar cell, an attempt is made to simulate the device using one dimension solar capacitance simulator (1D-SCAPS) program. The simulation is carried out on the solar cell Glass/Mo/Sb2S3/CdS/i-ZnO/Al:ZnO. The efficiency calculated by the simulation is more than 11%.
