In December 2019, several cases of “unknown viral pneumonia” have been reported which were initially linked to the exposure at the Huanan Seafood Market, Wuhan, China ⁽¹⁾. In January 2020, a novel coronavirus was detected (Fig. 1), capable of infecting humans and termed COVID-19⁽²⁾. By the 11th of March 2020, therewere 80,955 confirmed cases inside China and 37,367 with COVID-19 globally ⁽³⁾. Common symptoms of COVID-19 include dry cough, fever and fatigue. The current official incubation period of COVID-19 is between 2 and 14 days.
