Acute and Chronic Lymphadenopathy – An Overview

LYMPHADENOPATHY (LAP) or ADENOPATHY is a any disease of the lymphnodes which is abnormal in size, number and consistency. Lymphadenopathy is a most common condition in any form of disease which is noticed by a physician .But it is not a peculiar symptom of any disease. An inflammatory type of lymphadenopathy is called as LYMPHADINITIS. In this review Article we can see the classification of lymphadenopathy pathogens, clinical approach and clinical evaluation of lymphadenopathy and differential diagnosis. Depending upon the size and extent of lymphadenopathy we can evaluate the condition of the patient and give appropriate treatment.

Green tea becomes one of the most popular beverages consumed worldwide, because of its many scientifically proven advantageous effects on human health it has gained attention in recent years . which is also rich in health-promoting flavonoids account 30% of the dry weight of a leaf, includes catechins and their derivatives. Several studies has proved that green tea catechins, such as epigallocatechin gallate, prevent growth of periodontal pathogens and decrease the destruction of periodontal tissue.

The main aim of this review article is to provide information about Dentin Hypersensitivity(DH). Dentin Hypersensitivity ,a common condition of the teeth, characterized by short sharp pain arising from exposed dentinal tubules in response to stimuli. The article reviews its clinical features, pathogenesis, mechanism, diagnosis, prevention and management. The diagnosis should be accurate and all the differential diagnosis should be omitted. Desensitization remains the major choice for dentin hypersensitivity. The basic principle of treatment of dentin hypersensitivity is to block the patent tubules or block pulpal nerve response.
