ABSTRACT: The role of the third molars in the oral cavity have been extensively studied throughout the years. Various literatures discuss various aspects of the third molar teeth. But the subject that hasn’t been explored much is the influence of third molars on orthodontic treatment. The aim of this review is to throw light on the role of third molars in orthodontic treatment and their influence on late mandibular crowding.
