This article describes in detail the technique of performing total hysterectomy and its optimized version. Thanks to the optimized version of total hysterectomy, interoperative blood loss decreased by an average of 340.0 ± 60.0 ml, the operation time was reduced by 32.0 ± 4.0 minutes, thereby improving the outcome of the operation in 78 patients with massive obstetric bleeding
