Abstract

Background: Hematopoetic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is one of the most aggressive treatments for a variety of hematologic malignancies, blood disorders and rare genetic disorders. Infections in HSCT are amongst the major causes of morbidity and mortality in the posttransplant period.
