Aims: To compare HbA1c levels with inflammatory markers that include a neutrophilto-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and monocyteto-lymphocyte ratio (MLR) in controlled and uncontrolled diabetics. Materials and methods: Two hundred type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients were separated into two groups of managed (HbA1c 7%) diabetics. HbA1c (glycated haemoglobin) levels, leukocyte count (WBC), haemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Hct), red blood cell distribution width (RDW), neutrophils, lymphocytes, and monocytes were all measured using recent laboratory data. The laboratory results were used to determine the NLR and MLR.
