Abstract

Mutual funds are investment instruments that pool the capital of participants, and then participate in stock markets together. Mutual funds play an enormously significant position on capital markets, with the worldwide number of open-end funds the by almost 40% from 2016 to 2019. One advantage is to entrust benefits to experienced portfolio management, diversification of assets, reduced returns than for direct investment and connections to foreign financial institutions and markets. Transactions in mutual funds are a major benefit. Blackrock, Vanguard Asset Managers and State Street Global Advisors is the world's biggest investment manager as of June 2020. This paper explores the growth of mutual funds and Structure of Mutual Funds in India.
