Background: Scoliosis is a complex three-dimensional deformity of the spine that involves the coronal, sagittal, and axial planes with fixed rotation of vertebrae. Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis is the most common type of scoliosis accounting for about 80% of idiopathic scoliosis involving healthy individuals.
