Introduction: Radial head fractures are common injuries comprising 1/3 of the fractures about the elbow. Displaced fractures should be treated surgically. Simple two/three part fractures can easily be handled by osteosynthesis, but comminuted fractures pose a major problem for reconstruction. Therefore, prosthetic replacement is recommended if stable reconstruction is impossible.
