Background: In humans, sacrum consists of five fused sacral vertebrae. The present study was conducted top assess sacralisation of fifth lumbar vertebra. Materials & Methods: 46 sacral bone obtained in Anatomy department were observed for any variations like sacralisation and lumbarisation, number of ventral and dorsal sacral foramen, number of vertebral bodies, sacral hiatus and sacral cornua. All the observations were noted and tabulated Results: Out of 46 sacral bones, males had 24 and females had 22. Sacralization was seen in 3 male bones and 7 female bones. Left side sacralization was seen in 1 male and 2 females, right side in 1 male and 2 females and bilateral in 1 male and 3 females. The difference was significant (P< 0.05). Type was complete in 6 and incomplete in 4 cases. The difference was significant (P< 0.05).
