Abstract

Background, Aim and Objectives: Using an innovative anaesthetic approach, ultrasoundguided ilioinguinal and iliohypogastric nerve block, postoperative discomfort can be reduced. In a tertiary care institution, a comparison of the effectiveness of the landmark technique and the ultrasound-guided technique was made on paediatric patients undergoing ilioinguinal/iliohypogastric nerve blocks. The main goal is to analyse the effectiveness of analgesia during the intraoperative period. This is done by measuring the patient's hemodynamics at any time, including their blood pressure, heart rate, spo2, and electrocardiogram. After surgery, the pain is measured using the VAS score. Comparing the complications and the quantity of rescue analgesia in the two groups is the secondary goal.
