Abstract
Introduction: In the preoperative decision-making of the thyroid swellings, fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is becoming an ever more vital tool. Aim: To determine the incidence and role of FNAC in the management of the solitary nodule thyroid. Materials and methods: A prospective analysis of 55 cases of solitary nodule of thyroid, admitted to Govt .E.N.T. Hospital, Hyderabad, during the period 18 months from Jan 2014 to June 2015.
